Hello! We had a great first day. We did many activities, practiced names, played outside and had a great time. The kids did so well with the masks! Just a few notes below.
-Please continue to send a water bottle back and forth each day. I'll send it home each day to be washed. -One idea for masks is to have several in your child's backpack for each week. Two baggies would work great...one for the clean ones and one for the dirty ones. It's nice to have a few spare ones if they get dirty, are uncomfortable or lost. -I'm looking forward to the days ahead. Thanks so much for the open communication, encouragement and the many tokens of gratitude you've already given to our classroom. -My personal reminder for the year is, "It might not be easy, but it'll be worth it!" Go Huskies!

Our butterflies arrived about a week later than expected. I think they had a rough ride in the mail truck. The chrysalises or cocoons should be hanging in the shape of a "J". If they were, I would've put them in a little stand in the butterfly cage/net. If you look closely in the second picture you can see three of them on the bottom. We'll keep track of their progress. Please still look at Mrs. Rubin's & Mrs. Steve's progress because theirs are more accurate.
